How to deal with the over-twisting of cable bundle?

For wire and cable manufacturers, it is very common that the stranded wire is over twisted during the operation of strander. So, how should we deal with this situation?

What is over-twisting?
Overtwist refers to the phenomenon that the twist is too twist in the process of stranding.

So what's the cause of over twist?
1、 The number of turns of the stranded wire on the traction wheel is not enough, generally less than 4 turns, and the friction is too small to slip, resulting in excessive twisting.
2、 Loose take-up tension or take-up reel does not rotate, but the swivel is still rotating, resulting in excessive twisting.

How to solve it?
If the outer single line has been severely deformed and seriously damaged, there is no possibility of repair, only cutting. If the single wire is not seriously damaged, the rotating part and the traction part of the equipment can be separated and turned in the opposite direction of the stranding to make the local twisted part return. Then the wire core can be repaired by hand, and the redundant single wire can be wound on the take-up reel to integrate the equipment and the rotating traction. After the loose over pressing die is pressed, the wire can be manually repaired by the die, so that the machine can be restarted production.
