Solutions to Loose Strand When Stranding Core by Strander

All kinds of problems may appear when stranding the core by strander. Loose strand is one of the most common. When it comes to loose stocks, we should not panic. Find out the reason, and then solve it.

The causes of core looseness are as follows:
1. Too large pitch leads to unsound twisted core.
2. The pass of the die is too large to compact and adjust. The bell mouth of wire mould is too large or worn and damaged.
3. The pay off tension is uneven and loose.
4. The pitch ratio of each layer is not good.
5. The state of the core does not meet the process requirements, especially the aluminum core.
6. The position of distributor and die holder is improper.

Elimination scheme for loose strand of wire core:
1. Strict process discipline, implement process operation procedures, appropriately reduce excessive pitch, adjust pay off tension and die.
2. According to different structures, the position from the distributor to the die base should be adjusted to 200 ~ 250mm.
3. For stranding some strands with high tensile strength, the method of combined die can be used, which can play a better effect.
